Shehla has been associated with the field of education for the last 19 years. A certified educator and early childhood expert not only has she been involved in teaching young children, but she has also been designing and conducting workshops for teacher, parents and educators. She holds an in depth understanding of the emotional, linguistic and cognitive development of the young mind and the impact the early years have on shaping the thought processes and personality of the adult.

She holds a Bachelor’s in Education, an International diploma (0 to 6 years) in early childhood Montessori pedagogy (Montessori Center International, UK). She is also a certified educator, having completed the PGCE from the University of Nottingham, UK in 2012.

Having taught, for nearly ten years, and managed early years settings for the last 7 years, she has been in the position of the Deputy Director and Head of curriculum, recruitment and training of an ELC, and the Nursery Director for one of the most prestigious nurseries in Dubai, heading an early childhood educational facility of more than 200 children.

Having lived in the UAE since 2001, a mother of three girls (and a grandmother of 3!) she is experienced in dealing with the expat community characteristic of the UAE culture, where she has built successful relationships with parents and staff members. Assessing the dynamic needs of a learning environment, implementing the necessary changes and the deep commitment required for a business, such as a teaching environment, keeping the maximum benefit of students in mind are a few of her strong points that have supported the company she has been associated with since 2012.

She has a thorough knowledge of managing day to day operations, organizing and supervising onsite set up of the classrooms and nursery facilities for the new branches, with special focus on the HSE requirements of children’s work environment and access areas. She has also been closely involved in budgeting, planning marketing strategies and putting together and conducting ‘in house’ training programs for all staff.
